50,000 people used to live here. Now it’s a ghost town.

Things might not be quite that drastic, but there has been a noticeable drop-off in activity across the Destiny 2 community as of late. Fans of Destiny rode out the first game on a high note: three years worth of content at end game levels and outstanding quality of life updates. Needless to say, that wave carried right into and through the launch of Destiny 2. The game saw over 1.2 million concurrent players a few days after the game was released. Things were looking great. So… what happened? Here are my thoughts on that matter:

iMonkey Checks Out The D2 Beta

When it came to reviewing Destiny 2’s beta only one name sprung to mind, our resident Destiny Game Captain, #Raidboss and one man wipe machine, iMonkey. Take it away, fella:

So, the Destiny beta has been playable for four days now, which is plenty of time for everyone to have formed an opinion of it, not least because it is so damn short! It consists of one story mission, one strike, and two PvP (Player vs Player) modes. This is not a lot of content, especially for those of us who mainly play Destiny for the PvE (Player vs Environment).

How Gary Stole the Traveler: A Look at the Destiny 2 Premiere

Bungie showed Destiny 2 off for the first time today and it showed us a Vanguard as shattered as the Tower it was housed in.

The stream opened with the gameplay reveal trailer, which showed The Tower and Guardians looking prettier than we’ve seen them before, the graphics this time round are an obvious upgrade on Destiny, saddled as it was with previous gen hardware constraints at birth.
